For our last full day of the trip, we were excited to wake up for the day, but it was also sad...14 days...already over!?!? It felt like 30 minutes...
We started the day visiting Alcatraz Island and saw the prison...which was for some of the worst criminals. We took an audio tour and it was one of the most interesting things I've seen. Not only could explore this real prison, we could also see beautiful San Franciso from the island...what a view of the bay!
Next up was lunch at Pier 39. We enjoyed time last minute shopping, got one last view of the sea lions, and some of us even ate at Hard Rock Cafe and got a free t shirt!
It was then time to take our walk across the Golden Gate Bridge...what an experience! Walking across the bridge was an awesome feeling...you feel so free and we all got the feeling that "wow...we are really here!" The bridge is 1.71 miles and with every step we had refreshing wind and a beautiful view of San Francisco. We ended our walk with a group picture in front of the bridge, with everyone in their trip tshirts...perfect.
In the evening we had the last dinner together, and we danced all the night away with our very own DJ. We had much to celebrate: Stine's birthday, a beautiful trip, and new friendships that will last forever.
Now we say not our goodbyes, but our "see you laters" for this is not an end, but a whole new beginning.

Cable Cars and More...San Fran
Our day started with a good breakfast in the morning. After we crossed the Bay Bridge again we arrived in Fisherman's Wharf were we walked around to explore the neighborhood. Next was a ride with the world famous cable car. We barely made it up the hills of San Francisco but after 20 exciting minutes of driving through the beautiful city we arrived Union Square.
There we had time by ourself to explore more of downtown San Francisco and to do a little shopping. At least the people had some money left. People set down in cafes, enjoyed the street artists or laid down at the square. At 2pm the group started the city tour with our fabulous tour guide. We saw world famous City Hall, the 6 sisters and the amazing view over San Francisco from the Twin Peaks.
We also saw Pacific Ocean, the Hippie neighborhood and Chinatown. Before dinner we had a hungry free hour in Chinatown and everybody was happy to finally sit down in the restaurant to enjoy a traditional Chinese food. Everybody had an amazing day and they are looking forward for the next one to be even better.

Welcome to Beautiful San Francisco!
Today we got a huge present, sleeping in the morning! Which everyone enjoyed a lot. After packing everything on the bus, we drove to San Francisco, California!
We stopped on the way an as a true West Coast American, we had lunch at In N Out Burger…and of course had a burger and French fries!
After we were done eating, we kept on our way to San Francisco. When we got there, wow what a beautiful and pleasant feeling. We were in San Francisco – the beautiful city that everyone admires!
We saw the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge…just like in the pictures, or maybe even prettier. The landscape was just amazing! The cameras didn’t stop flashing to catch the beautiful and romantic buildings that fill up the city. The up and down streets are not just in the movies and we also got to enjoy them such as their traffic! But there was not a problem once it gave us more time to appreciate this beautiful city and its magic scenery!
Our first stop was in the De Young Museum where we got to watch some art and also a very interesting exposition of Jean Paul Gaultier. It was interesting to see all their fancy and different designs and even more exiting when we got to know that some of them were used by starts like Beyonce or Sarah Jessica Parker.
After the museum we headed to Pier 39! Once again what an amazing and pleasant view! This city just kept impress us more and more. No matter which way we would look the view was so pretty! We got to see the sea lions and then walk through the Pier and appreciate the beauty of the place.
At 6.30 we went to have supper at Bubba Gump Shrimp to try the famous shrimp served, based after the famous movie Forrest Gump! The food was good and after it we had some more time to explore.
From Pier 39 we got to see Alcatraz, the prison. It is a lot closer from the coast than we thought! But about it we will get to know more in the next few days once we will have the chance to visit it! So now I say the goodbyes for today and good night everybody since our “go to the rooms time” starts!
